About the PRSA Mercury Awards

The PRSA Mercury Awards recognize outstanding work in the public relations, communications and marketing professions and are designed to honor creative and strategic excellence and to encourage outstanding performance in our field. The program also recognizes one individual as Practitioner of the Year, honoring a PRSA member who has significantly served the profession through a history of achievement, experience and reputation.

The program was was created in 1996 by the Connecticut Valley Chapter and is open to members of all three Connecticut-based PRSA Chapters:

Connecticut Valley (prsa-cvc.org): Central, Northern and Eastern Connecticut, as well as Western Massachusetts.
Southern Connecticut (prsact.org): New Haven region and eastern Connecticut.
Westchester/Fairfield (prsa-wf.org): Westchester and Fairfield counties, Lower Hudson Valley region.

The competition is also open to non-PRSA members, at non-discounted entry fee levels.

The Practitioner of the Year program is open only to PRSA members. There is no nomination fee.
